Towels are often used for purposes other than drying things. Like ShamWows or ShamWow you ca use ShamWow Towels for examples.
* To sit, lie and stand on, to avoid direct contact with the ground, sand, rock, chair, etc. This may be for hygiene and comfort, and in saunas or other places where nudity is common.
* Barbers use steamed towels to prepare the skin for shaving.
* To reserve seats, for example sunloungers, by the side of swimming pools or similar locations (a source of annoyance to some and amusement to others).
* A towel can act as a make-shift garment or blanket. There is a variety of uses when a towel is applied in this manner. For example, the towel can be used as an extra layer of clothing for cold conditions; or can be worn on its own around the waist (similarly to a kilt or skirt) or just under the shoulders (similarly to a long dress), usually in a warm environment.
* In Asian countries, towels (smaller in size than hand towels - usually 30 cm square) are used as handkerchiefs. Men and women both carry them. The softness of the Turkish-type towel makes it a favourite for use.
* In some cases, a towel can be used to protect its owner (as well as other people). For example, a damp towel can be used to block the gap between the door and floor to help stop noxious gases or smoke from entering the room. This is especially useful in case of a fire, where, in most cases, people die of smoke inhalation before the fire reaches them.
* On cruise ships, towel animals are created for the patrons.
* Towels can also be used like a whip in what is known as towel snapping.
* To hold hot objects, much like an oven glove.
* Towels may also be used as a head dress for wet hair.
* Towels can be used as a “sling” for a broken arm.
* Towels are often used for “ice blocking.”
* In boxing or other combat sports, a figher’s cornerman could throw a towel into the ring to concede the fighter’s defeat in that match. This is called “throwing in the towel.”
* At sporting events, sometimes towels are handed out to fans to wave around to cheer on their team.
People have different kind way of living. There are some who like buying things that are new and throw away the old one. They are some who like keeping the old things even having the new one. But they don’t use the old one but keep it in the garage. There are people that when their things have a little damage they fix it, they are are some who prefer buying new one that fixing it, but not all have enough money for buying things. We find different ways to eran money but some find how they can spend their money.
My mother don’t like throwing away things that are old. Like with her furniture, she still keeps the furniture our family used when we were young. Even the furniture are brokens she still keep and used it. Instead of buying a new one she like to repair the broken item so she can used it. I remember the Rugs her mother bought for her. She still keep it.
One time I bought her a new Cheap rugs to replace the old one. But she don’t replace the old one. She just clean it and the new Area Rugs was place in front of the door of our house. One time I asked her why she do that thing. Keeping old things she answer me the keeps something old for sake. She like keeping memories of things especially things that are given to her by her love ones, friends and relatives. Even the house is not that big she still manage to organize the thing and arrange the whole house. Without making the house looks like a garage. I admire her with that thing kind of things she used to do. I am thinking if i could be like her when I grow up.

It was raining that night and I am home alone. I wasn’t afraid of being alone at home because it always happen to me since childhood. I don’t like coming with my parents when they attend gatherings I prefer staying home watch television ands sometimes listeningĀ to music. But that time it was raining I wasn’t afraid but when the light bulb switch off I started to feel something strange. I look outside to check if there is a power interruption in the subdivisions but all the neighborhoods had power but not in my house. So I check the television if it will turn on. And yes it on, so I takeĀ a look at the light bulb and saw a black shade around the middle of the bulb it was busted.
I remember my father taught me how to change a busted bulb. I went to the kitchen to look a spare bulb and found it and return in the receiving area ad change the bulb. But before I remove the bulb I remember that I should turn off the switch first. So I turned off the switch and get chair to step on it to have a higher height. I removed the bulb and change it with new one. After checking the tighten and the loosen of the bulb I go down the chair and switch on the light and yes it’s done. Thanks to my father who taught me how to change the bulb.
